- Baltic Voices
Baltic Voices gives in detail the results of the five New Baltic Barometer surveys of public opinion in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania conducted since 1993 by the Centre for the Study of Public Policy.
Given the multi-ethnic nature of Baltic societies today, each survey reports separately the opinion of the titular nationality and of Russians. Thus, it is possible to compare how similar or different are the opinions of Russians in Estonia and Estonians, and similarly in Latvia and Lithuania. Since the same questions are ask of all six nationalities, it is also possible to compare across the Baltic states the opinions of Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanian nationalities, and the opinions of Russians. (more details) .
Since the CSPP carries out comparable surveys in the Russian Federation, the website also highlights comparisons between Russians in Russia with those living in Baltic states, and gives Russian views of the Baltic states (more details).
As background, this website gives election results for each of the Baltic states; information about its constitution and government; and links to relevant publications and websites.
The website has been made possible through a generous grant from the Tercentenary Fund of the Bank of Sweden. (languages: English)
